Founded in 2004 by a passionate group of enthusiasts, LUGI Cricket Club (formerly Lund Cricket Club) began with a simple mission: to bring serious cricket to the heart of Sweden. What started as a local circle has evolved into a powerhouse of the sport. From our early days rising through the Danish leagues to our current standing in the Swedish Cricket League, LUGI has become a home for elite competition and lifelong friendships. Whether we’re chasing boundaries or building our community, we play with heart, history, and a vision for the future of Swedish cricket.

Growing the Game

• We aren’t just winning matches; we are building the future of the sport in Lund:
• 2020: Launched the LUGI Women’s Cricket Team, now a key part of the Swedish league.
• 2021: Established our Under-15 (U15) Youth Program to mentor the next generation of Swedish cricketers.

Recent Major Accomplishments:

• 🏆 Back-to-Back Champions: National Winners of the #SMVECKA Knockout Tournament (2018 & 2019).
• ⭐ Elite Division Champions: Winners of the National T20 Elite Division League (2019).
• 🥈 National Runners-Up: Finalists in the National T40 Division League (2019).
• 🌍 European Stage: Qualified for the European Cricket League (ECL) in both 2020 and 2021.
• 🏏 Men’s League: Our Men’s first team currently competes in the highly competitive Superettan.
